File conversion should be fast, understandable, and respectful of user privacy. I Hate Converter keeps the directory limited to visible tools that can actually work in the browser, so users do not waste time on formats that require a server-side upload flow.

How I Hate Converter works

The app uses modern browser APIs, local canvas rendering, PDF and ZIP libraries, and WebAssembly where needed. Selected files stay on the device during conversion. Outputs are created locally and offered as downloads from the browser session.

Trust principles

I Hate Converter avoids accounts, conversion history, hidden upload fallbacks, and unsupported tools presented as working features. File-size limits and compatibility messages are shown because browser memory and device speed matter for local processing.
