I Hate Converter is built around browser-only file conversion. Supported files are processed with browser APIs, canvas features, ZIP utilities, PDF utilities, or local WebAssembly on your device. We do not require an account, upload your source files, or run a server-side conversion fallback.
Local processing
Files selected in a converter are read by your browser for the active conversion flow. I Hate Converter does not store source files, create a conversion history, or send your selected files to a remote conversion API. Your browser may keep downloaded outputs in your local downloads folder, cache, or memory according to your browser settings.
Information we may receive
When you visit the site, normal web hosting logs may include technical information such as requested pages, browser type, approximate time of access, and IP address. These logs are used for security, reliability, and abuse prevention. They are not a file conversion history.
Cookies, localStorage, and service worker cache
I Hate Converter may use browser storage such as localStorage to remember interface preferences, including the selected light or dark theme. The service worker may cache static site files so already loaded pages remain usable when your connection drops. We do not cache uploaded files or conversion outputs in the service worker.
Advertising and third-party partners
I Hate Converter may display advertising, including ads served by Google or other third-party advertising partners. These partners may use cookies, device identifiers, or similar technologies to serve, measure, and personalize ads according to their own policies. Google may use advertising cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites. You can manage Google ad personalization through Google's ad settings and your browser privacy controls.
Your choices
You can clear localStorage, cookies, and site data through your browser settings. You can also block or limit third-party cookies, use private browsing modes, and choose whether to download or keep converted output files. If a browser API required for local processing is unavailable, I Hate Converter will show a compatibility warning instead of uploading files elsewhere.
Browser limits
File-size limits exist because local browser memory and CPU resources vary by device. Unsupported formats are not listed as working tools.
